Introduction

Co., Ltd.

SUNCHLON™ CPP resin is a thermoplastic resin produced by the chlorination of polypropylene. It is a nontoxic

 white or light yellow granular solid and can be easily soluble in organic solvents such as chlorinated 

hydrocarbons, toluene, butanone or other mixed solvent. And it has high hardness and good properties

 of wear-resistance, acid-resistance, salt water resistance and aging- resistance.

Application

Polypropylene (PP) is a resin which is widely used for film, molded products and other useful products. But due to its low polarity and high crystallinity, it is difficult to adhere. A better way to solve this problem is to use Chlorinated Polypropylene (CPP). SUNCHLON™ CPP is the best adhesive to PP, thermoplastic olefin elastomer (TPO) and other low surface energy substrates containing olefinic material. It is a high-performance adhesion promoter for paints, coating, inks and adhesives.

Its main usages are as follows:

Ø  Primer for plastic substrates for automobiles (bumpers, interior parts, wheel cap, etc)

Ø  Ink binder for film (gravure /silk-screen printings)

Ø  Adhesive for plastic molded containers and food wrapping film

Ø  Primer for construction, paint, adhesives

SUNCHLON™ CPP with various chlorine content, viscosity and molecular weight can be selected depending on the use, purpose and conditions.
